Evolution of a Brand

When I was in high school, my all-time favorite movie was "Smoky Mountain Christmas". One of the first songs that Dolly Parton sings is "Mountain Magic", and that song has always stuck with me.
Fast forward to my college years. One of the first businesses I ever created on paper was for a quaint bed & breakfast in Vermont. It had a gorgeous spa, gardens full of herbs and produce...and I called it "Mountain Magic Bed & Breakfast. After working in a similar establishment after college, I decided that I really couldn't handle all those people in my space for extended periods of time, so I scrapped the idea of a B&B. But the name has been with me through the years, in various iterations.
Several years ago, I was really involved with essential oils, so the business name became "Mountain Magic Essential Oils". A few years ago, I changed the name again - this time to "Mountains Magic Life". This version resonated with me on a deeper level. NO matter where I've lived or traveled to, I have always been drawn to the mountains. Magic because I firmly believe that there is magic in our everyday lives - if we take the time to notice it. And Life because everything we do influences our next steps...who we are and who we become.
In the winter of 2024, I started to rebrand my business. Landscape photography has always been my focus...capturing the beauty I see in this world. But, in the background there has been a special joy in capturing textures, details often overlooked, things beyond the grandeur of the world we live in. A conversation I had with a woman who runs a vintage market opened my mind to some possibilities beyond the framed canvas landscapes I currently create and sell.
I created a logo that had a more retro feel to it. And I absolutely love that logo and the

whole vibe of it! All of a sudden I'm picturing it on t-shirts and water bottles. And exploring new mediums for printing my images...vibrant pictures on slate pieces, puzzles, paper on leather in barnwood...this vision seems endless!
I hope you join me on the adventure, and see where it takes us all! I feel like it could be a movement - not just me selling pretty pictures.
